Crossroads

Meaning
Choice, and the multiplication that comes with it. The Crossroads is a decision point with more than one viable route, and the card describes the moment of choosing rather than the outcome. Because it forks, it also indicates plurality — two of something, several options, alternatives running in parallel.
The tradition does not usually mark one path as correct. That work belongs to the surrounding cards.
The tone is neutral and slightly unsettled. A Crossroads is not a problem; it is an open question, and its discomfort is the discomfort of not having decided yet.
Beside other cards
Usually the modifier, indicating that its neighbour comes in more than one form or is subject to a decision. Crossroads + Ring is a choice about a commitment, or more than one agreement. Beside Clouds it points to a decision made without enough information.
