Fish

Meaning

Money in motion, and abundance. The Fish is income, business, transactions, and flow — money moving rather than money held, which is the Bear's territory. It also carries plenty and multiplicity: many of something, more than expected.

Its independence is worth noting. The Fish is often connected to self-employment and to working for oneself.

The tone is positive and fluid. The Fish's caution is that flow runs both ways, and beside Mice or Scythe it describes money leaving as readily as arriving.

Beside other cards

Can be subject or modifier. As a modifier it makes its neighbour financial or plentiful — Fish + Letter is an invoice or a financial document, Fish + Fox is dishonesty around money. Read against the Bear for the distinction between reserves and flow.
